Once a Roman Catholic Chapel dating back to 1897, our grand Chapel exudes classical elegance entwined with history and is bathed in natural light from the large ornamental stone windows.

Let this magnificent space be the perfect canvas to your unforgettable ceremony or wedding breakfast, before transforming into a fabulous evening party for you and your guests.

Wedding Ceremony

The Chapel is one of five unique wedding ceremony spaces at Ellingham Hall.

Full of history and grandeur, it offers the perfect indoor civil ceremony setting for up to 140 seated guests.

With original stone architecture and a vaulted ceiling, the Chapel is filled with neutral tones that allow you to easily add your personal touches before saying I do.

Wedding Breakfast

Our Chapel hosts your elegant wedding breakfast for up to 140 guests.

Choose from a variety of seating arrangements including a round, long or sweetheart top table, positioned in front of the large fireplace or beneath the original stone windows.

Crisp white table linen and a glistening array of glassware and silverware cutlery, are all included within your wedding pricing, so that’s one less thing for you to worry about.

Evening Reception

The evening reception is one of the most fun parts of a wedding day. The veils of formality are lifted, and everyone can let their hair down and celebrate the happy couple.

By night the Chapel transforms into an incredible party space for up to 180 evening guests.

Enjoy your first dance under a canopy of festoon lighting and keep the drinks flowing from our Chapel Bar whilst you all dance the night away.

The Mezz

This unique space overlooking the Chapel below, features the iconic Ellingham window for your elegant couple portraits.

A great setting to sit some of your guests for a larger wedding breakfast or for friends and family to chill, before the evening party begins!

The Mezz leads out onto our rooftop lounge which has panoramic views of the tranquil grounds and woodland.

Rooftop Lounge

The rooftop lounge boasts stunning views of the beautiful Northumberland coast off Beadnell Bay.

This comfortable lounge is yours to enjoy on your wedding day. Ideal for smaller outdoor ceremonies of up to 60 guests and for family and friends to relax with drinks in the sun, before heading down for the evening reception.

Chapel Bar

Our Chapel Bar is open to enjoy throughout your wedding breakfast and evening reception, without your guests having to leave the room.

The bar leads out onto the serene Chapel Terrace, a perfect space for alfresco dining the night before and outdoor drinks during the warmer months.

Ours bars are well stocked with a range of beers, wines and spirits, sourced locally and from around the globe.

Ellingham Hall really is the perfect wedding venue. It has everything you need for a memorable wedding experience. The exclusive wedding package created the perfect 3 day experience for us and our guests. “We can’t begin to thank everyone at Ellingham hall for making our wedding the most beautiful and memorable day.

We got married at the beginning of December and went for a 3 day wedding, Friday-Sunday. Ellingham was transformed into a winter wonderland with its beautiful Christmas decor. The Friday night was so lovely to be able to spend time with all our loved ones together before the big day.

The team were so friendly and really felt like an extension of our wedding party/guests. You’re truly made to feel like the venue is your home. Everyone was so attentive and the whole weekend was stress free and the wedding ran smoothly despite the threat of a storm!

We loved how the wedding day didn’t have to end at 12am and could continue the celebrations into the night in the Hall’s secret club/den which was highlight for us.

We also have to mention how incredible the food was the whole weekend and how easily they catered for our guests dietary requirements.

Everyone who attended the wedding continues to speak about how it was the most beautiful wedding they had experienced. Ellingham hall is truly a magical place and we wish we could do it all again!
