Once a Roman Catholic Chapel dating back to 1897, our grand Chapel exudes classical elegance entwined with history and is bathed in natural light from the large ornamental stone windows.
Let this magnificent space be the perfect canvas to your unforgettable ceremony or wedding breakfast, before transforming into a fabulous evening party for you and your guests.
The Chapel is one of five unique wedding ceremony spaces at Ellingham Hall.
Full of history and grandeur, it offers the perfect indoor civil ceremony setting for up to 140 seated guests.
With original stone architecture and a vaulted ceiling, the Chapel is filled with neutral tones that allow you to easily add your personal touches before saying I do.

Our Chapel hosts your elegant wedding breakfast for up to 140 guests.
Choose from a variety of seating arrangements including a round, long or sweetheart top table, positioned in front of the large fireplace or beneath the original stone windows.
Crisp white table linen and a glistening array of glassware and silverware cutlery, are all included within your wedding pricing, so that’s one less thing for you to worry about.

The evening reception is one of the most fun parts of a wedding day. The veils of formality are lifted, and everyone can let their hair down and celebrate the happy couple.
By night the Chapel transforms into an incredible party space for up to 180 evening guests.
Enjoy your first dance under a canopy of festoon lighting and keep the drinks flowing from our Chapel Bar whilst you all dance the night away.

Our Chapel Bar is open to enjoy throughout your wedding breakfast and evening reception, without your guests having to leave the room.
The bar leads out onto the serene Chapel Terrace, a perfect space for alfresco dining the night before and outdoor drinks during the warmer months.
Ours bars are well stocked with a range of beers, wines and spirits, sourced locally and from around the globe.

We were 27 people and we enjoyed a Champagne reception before a delicious three course lunch. Wendy and her team could not do enough for us, our every request was granted. I think some guests were wondering why they were at a wedding the night before, as a lot of weddings are only one day. But everyone just absolutely loved it. The team at Ellingham were great. Matt received a lot of compliments on the Friday night. Lots of family said how great he was. In fact, there were loads of compliments about the entire team, they all did a fab job. “The venue was immaculately presented and very welcoming. Easy to find just off the A1, with plenty of parking next to the meeting rooms and closer space to unload equipment. The area provided for breakout/coffee/lunch had plenty of room and was a relaxed environment, which gave delegates the chance to meet each other before the conference. The food and drink was plentiful, and of a good standard. The meeting room itself was well equipped and a nice size for our group, not to feel crowded, but also not lost as can happen in large rooms. The staff were on hand all day and happy to help with any of our requests.”
