Enter our gardens and grounds through the tree-lined driveway to explore the 8 acres of Ellingham Hall’s private Estate.

With immaculate lawns, a private woodland, walled garden, and an array of terraces, there is so much for you and your guests to explore over your Two-Night Wedding Experience.

Chapel Terrace

The Chapel Terrace provides a peaceful setting for alfresco dining and celebratory drinks the night before.

Featuring ambient festoon lighting and comfortable soft seating, the terrace is perfect for you and your guests to relax and take in the superb views of our picturesque lawns and woodland.

On the wedding day, the Chapel Terrace is the perfect spot for your outdoor drinks reception. Set the atmosphere with some tasty appetisers and live acoustic music and watch as the Hall’s resident peacocks proudly parade the lawns.

The Fire Pit

Our circular seated Fire Pit is a fabulous social area for you and your guests to enjoy alongside our Chapel Terrace.

Cosy round the firepit on the wedding night and soak up the atmosphere of the charming Estate by toasting marshmallows together before enjoying a sparkler reception, whilst your photographer captures those precious moments.

Private Woodland

Walk across our serene stream bridge and discover our private woodland.

Take your first stroll as newlyweds along with your photographer to capture those magical moments in an array of locations including our woodland bridge in the peaceful and natural surroundings.

Walled Garden

The walled garden is an idyllic spot for the happy couple to enjoy a moment of respite and soak in our amazing grounds.

The stone pillars and Secret Doorway provide the perfect backdrop for outdoor wedding portraits, bathed in either the warm glow of the summer sun or revelling in the newly blooming spring flora. Even winter and autumn aren’t excluded. Capture that perfect white wedding pic on crisp snowy grounds or enjoy the dreamy golden reds of the falling leaves.

The Lawns

The luscious lawns to the front and east of the Hall lend themselves perfectly for photos, lawn games, your drinks reception, and the wedding ceremony.

The East lawn features a listed Cedar of Lebanon tree which looks beautiful lit up at night. It also features two Holly Trees set in front of our private woodland.

The pergola stands proud on the front south facing lawn and provides a focal point for a picture perfect outdoor seated ceremony.

We’re now back from our honeymoon and we just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for everything you did to make our wedding day so special.
The entire team was incredible from start to finish and we especially appreciate the flexibility you showed in accommodating my wish to have the ceremony outside, it meant the world to me!

Throughout our stay, from start to finish. The staff worked so hard. Always calm, well organised, with someone always on hand if needed. Staff constantly and discreetly clearing glasses, plates and guest debris, the rooms always stayed looking plush. On the Big Day, on hand to keep everything running on time and on track. Food service from walking the room with canapés to serving Wedding breakfast and Friday morning breakfast was spot on and professional from a well managed young team.

We arrived on Wednesday afternoon, a very easy and smooth arrival process. Bar was open for the arrival of guests. Rooms were all well appointed with all your tea, coffee needs. We had a great barbecue style evening family buffet with all the guests. Plentiful and tasty. The sitting area near the bar had the bride and grooms playlist in the background for us to enjoy and chat over. The den was used by several guests through to the early hours! . We started Thursday morning with Sausage sandwiches which were great. Bar opened at 11:30 for a swift one before the main event. The room was perfect for the ceremony. Excellent canapés served with a drink whilst the photographs got underway. Wedding breakfast, served in the Chapel again superb quality. We then had a break with a cocktail hour. The mojitos were great. Our evening entertainment started at 7pm for first dance. We had a short break at 9pm to build burgers before we partied on till midnight. Friday morning, Full English breakfast. Again super quality.

Ellingham Hall really is the perfect wedding venue. It has everything you need for a memorable wedding experience. The exclusive wedding package created the perfect 3 day experience for us and our guests. As we and some guests had travelled from Australia, it allowed us to maximise the amount of quality time we spent with our closest family and friends to celebrate our wedding. Those staying in the Hall loved their rooms and constantly complimented the venue and the staff.

Surprisingly, a lot of the attendees were unaware of the Hall and what you’re able to offer. The fact that we could move from one room to another and have two very different events at the same venue was a big draw for us. “
