Venue Shortlisted as Venue of the Year and Most Romantic in England

Over the past 18 months, Ellingham Hall has picked up a host of awards for the stunning venue, as well as the services provided by our team.

It seems wedding award season is in full swing as we are delighted to announce, the Hall has made the shortlist for not one, but two categories in the 2019 English Wedding Awards

Following a string of nominations from couples who’ve married with us over the years, we were thrilled to see the Hall being listed as Venue of the Year for the North of England. It wasn’t until we received the confirmation email form their Awards Team, that confirmed we had also made the finals as Most Romantic Wedding Venue too.

The awards aim to reward those within the eclectic wedding industry that make one of the most special days of our lives one to remember.

A spokesman for the English Wedding Awards said: “These awards are an exclusive celebration dedicated to those who work tirelessly to make our dream day as perfect as possible. They also seek to recognise everyone in this sector that has shown excellence, commitment and have the customer satisfaction as top priority in their business.”

We will find out next month whether we will be crowned at a glittering black-tie ceremony, taking place on Tuesday 19th November, at Manchester’s Mercure Piccadilly Hotel. Keep watching to see how we get on.

As soon as we walked through the doors at Ellingham hall we knew it was going to be our venue, we looked at a few others but always found ourselves comparing them back to Ellingham hall, it had everything we could’ve asked for.
The staff were all amazing throughout from the planning process to the big day, Wendy had us at ease through it all and had all the answers to all our daft questions.
Everyone who came had commented on how lovely the venue is, how fantastic the staff are and how amazing the food was the entire time we were there

We chose Ellingham Hall due to wanting a full weekend to celebrate such a special moment. We got married at our local church on the Friday before heading up to celebrate Friday night surrounded by all of our family and the following day Saturday surrounded by our friends and family. We wanted a party vibe and we got that. The fact that it was 4 days before Christmas made it even more magical. The Ellingham team went out there way to make sure everything went so smoothly throughout the weekend, nothing was an issue. Special mention to Hannah who was always there to help whenever we needed her. I wish we could relive full weekend again!

At Ellingham Hall you remember everything, from the beautiful quirky venue which has retained its historic features, the friendly staff, great service and the delicious food and amazing coffee! The meeting room had good light and was the perfect size for our event. It was lovely to have use of the comfortable reception rooms too for breaks and lunch. I was very impressed with the extra spaces such as the basement games room and rooftop networking terrace. It is a hidden jewel in the North-East and I am planning to return soon for a private family event”

Ellingham Hall really is the perfect wedding venue. It has everything you need for a memorable wedding experience. The exclusive wedding package created the perfect 3 day experience for us and our guests. As we and some guests had travelled from Australia, it allowed us to maximise the amount of quality time we spent with our closest family and friends to celebrate our wedding. What a beautiful venue! Me and my partner just got married at Ellingham and we could not have chosen a better venue. From booking the venue, to our special day everything was just amazing. Staff have been so great with us and were always there to answer any questions we had leading up to our day. Our special day ran smoothly thanks to all the staff here and all the staff were just so nice from start to finish. All our guests commented on how amazing the venue was and how amazing the staff had been with everyone. We cannot thank everyone there enough for helping to make our day so special.
