We’re shortlisted in top national awards

We’ve been overwhelmed with the number of awards we’ve picked up over the past year. And now we’re being shortlisted for one of the UK’s top titles.

This week, we were told that Ellingham Hall will be vying for a coveted award in this year’s Conference & Hospitality Show (CHS) Awards.

We have been shortlisted as one of finalists in the Best Independent Hotel/Venue category which we have been advised was the busiest category.

The venue re-launched its Corporate offering last summer and received some fantastic feedback at their VIP Corporate Showcase in November.

Corporate Sales and Marketing Manager, Lynn Sanderson, said she was delighted to find out about the shortlisting at this week’s CHS expo in Leeds.

“We are the only North East venue shortlisted for this award,” she said. “We are delighted. There are only 11 venues who made the shortlist, so to be considered one of the best in the entire country is fantastic. We have developed some great relationships with corporate clients since our re-launch and their support with our award submission was greatly appreciated”

We’ll find out if we pick up the title at a glittering awards ceremony in Leeds on June 6, we are very excited to find out the result!”

What a beautiful venue! Me and my partner just got married at Ellingham and we could not have chosen a better venue. From booking the venue, to our special day everything was just amazing. Staff have been so great with us and were always there to answer any questions we had leading up to our day. Our special day ran smoothly thanks to all the staff here and all the staff were just so nice from start to finish. All our guests commented on how amazing the venue was and how amazing the staff had been with everyone. We cannot thank everyone there enough for helping to make our day so special.

“We can’t begin to thank everyone at Ellingham hall for making our wedding the most beautiful and memorable day.

We got married at the beginning of December and went for a 3 day wedding, Friday-Sunday. Ellingham was transformed into a winter wonderland with its beautiful Christmas decor. The Friday night was so lovely to be able to spend time with all our loved ones together before the big day.

The team were so friendly and really felt like an extension of our wedding party/guests. You’re truly made to feel like the venue is your home. Everyone was so attentive and the whole weekend was stress free and the wedding ran smoothly despite the threat of a storm!

We loved how the wedding day didn’t have to end at 12am and could continue the celebrations into the night in the Hall’s secret club/den which was highlight for us.

We also have to mention how incredible the food was the whole weekend and how easily they catered for our guests dietary requirements.

Everyone who attended the wedding continues to speak about how it was the most beautiful wedding they had experienced. Ellingham hall is truly a magical place and we wish we could do it all again!

As soon as we walked through the doors at Ellingham hall we knew it was going to be our venue, we looked at a few others but always found ourselves comparing them back to Ellingham hall, it had everything we could’ve asked for.
The staff were all amazing throughout from the planning process to the big day, Wendy had us at ease through it all and had all the answers to all our daft questions.
Everyone who came had commented on how lovely the venue is, how fantastic the staff are and how amazing the food was the entire time we were there

From our first visit to the day of, every person we interacted with us on your team was friendly, so welcoming and professional. We couldn’t be happier with how it all went.

“The hall catered for everything we needed, from the luxury entrance rooms, to the grounds outside, which we used to talk with clients in more detail afterwards. It was exactly what we wanted to allow us to host a presentation of this size. Guests were welcomed with a selection of drinks and canapés in the entrance hall and then again on departure. The seminar itself took place in the Chapel, while the dining room and drawing room provided the perfect spaces clients to relax.
