FAQs

Q. The Hall has 17 bedrooms and sleeps 31 people, can we bring camp beds for extra guests?

A. No, 31 is the maximum occupancy of the Hall. We have our own cottages within the grounds (see link) and other local accommodation may be available for extra guests.

Q. Can we camp, bring our caravan or motor home?

A. No, we do not allow camping or caravanning at anytime. If additional guests require accommodation we have 12 holiday cottages on site for your use.

Q. Could we arrange our own caterers?

A. During your stay, the Hall is self-catering, however for any functions you have or catering requirements you need, we have our own in-house catering team at your disposal. This is an integral part of our business.

Q. Can we have fireworks?

A. Fireworks are allowed on Bonfire Night and New Years Eve, which are the only permitted nights under the Fireworks Act.

Q. Is the house permanently staffed?

A. Our staff can be there as much or a little as you like. However most guests prefer to have the house to themselves, it makes it feel more like a home.

Q. Does full payment have to be made prior to the event?

Q. Can I bring my Dog to stay?

A. Sorry no pets are allowed.

Q. What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

A. You may still be charged for the booking depending on how much notice we receive, please see our terms and conditions for further details.

Q. Do you have disabled access?

A. Yes we have a lift to all three floors, and ramps available into the house on request.

Q. Would I be allowed to erect a marquee in the Garden?

A. We only permit marquees to be erected on the rear car park, however all entertainment must be conducted within the Hall - the Chapel is perfect for this.

Q. Will my guests need to bring towels?

A. Each guest will be provided with a hand and bath towel. Separate towels are provided for use in the Jacuzzi.

Q. What is provided by the Hall?

A. All bed linen (excluding cots) is provided, as are towels – see above. There will be enough crockery and cutlery for the maximum occupancy for the house (31), and basics such as tea-towels and washing up liquid are provided. Everything else – food etc, must be brought yourself.

Q. Do staff members turn down or make our beds?

A. Our ethos at the Hall is very much to ensure our guests have a private and relaxed environment. Should you wish to have additional staff services, such as a daily linen change or bed making, this can be arranged separately at an additional cost.

Q. Are cots provided?

A. Cots and travel cots are available on request, however cot linen is not.

Q. Do we have fuel such as coal and logs available?

A. There will be sufficient fuel for your initial few days, and extra can be arranged at an additional cost. The Hall is also fully centrally heated.

Q. Do you have recycling facilities?

A. There are several recycling bins within the village, which we encourage our guests to use.

Q. Can we ask our guests to contact you directly to pay for their individual rooms?

A. We do not operate as a hotel, and it will be your responsibility to pay us in full prior to your arrival at the Hall. It will then be your responsibility to allocate rooms accordingly to your guests. Any room charges to individual friends and family are a matter entirely for your own discretion.

Q. What do we do incase of an emergency?

A. The house has a fully fitted fire alarm system, it is your responsibility to make your guests aware of exit points and extinguisher points in the house. All emergency numbers will be in your house instruction manual located in the drawing room. They will also have been sent to you prior to your arrival.
